IMPROVISATION
Performance by Marion Dieterle, Valentina Lupi and Michele Marchesani

Suddenly, a space is created and energy flows. The performers, free vessels—a freedom that takes a great deal of work—come to life, and welcome whatever wishes to come into the world through them, forgetting the techniques they have practised with constancy and dedication.
Together they create, in an energetic intensity that reaches the audience. As a fundamental component of the shared reality in that moment, the audience too is a co-creator of the experience.
Thus is born IMPROVISATION, from a courageous willingness to put oneself on the line and share, with the intention of creating beauty, community and well-being.

Marion Dieterle is a dancer, choreographer, teacher and painter: she explores the theme of corporeality in contemporary social spaces. She lives in Umbria, where she promotes the Utopiaggia artist residency project.

Valentina Lupi is a painter and dancer; she graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and has taken part in group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She lives and works between Arezzo and Milan.

Michele Marchesani is a musician, dancer and researcher of bodily movement. For years he has been working on and exploring the creative process as a tool for expression and healing in the broadest sense.

Marion, Valentina and Michele have found L’OFFICINA to be a fruitful place for their explorations and are delighted to return. We are delighted to welcome them.
